We believe a mission trip is meant for everyone, not just for the select few....  Typical mission trips cost thousands of dollars, are a huge time commitment, and the travel is time consuming/grueling.  We present a unique opportunity to experience a third world country mission trip at a fraction of the cost for just a weekend.

We provide a 3 day international mission trip experience, with a 4 hour drive time from Phoenix, AZ, for less than $150/person.  This is a turn-key operation.  We are a Christian Ministry, however, EVERYONE & ANYONE are welcome!  Sign up and pay, pack a light bag, and you are ready to go!

Matthew 28:18-20(NIV)18 Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

The 3 Missions of the Ministry:

Our USA Mission
is to provide ANYONE with the opportunity to experience an affordable weekend mission trip to Puerto Penasco, Mexico.  The trip is: a cultural experience, a serving experience, community & relationship driven, Christ centered, a safe atmosphere for transparency, and life changing.

Our Mexico Community Mission is to partner with the local church leadership and Rehab Centers in challenged areas to fulfill mutually agreed upon requested needs, which will result in more souls being saved.  Our newest endeavor is to connect each local church to a USA church so they can grow a relationship to benefit each other long term and to glorify God.

Our Villa Granada Mission is to provide a humble and clean lodging experience for mission trip attendees, to make available for Christ-centered groups, and to provide a limited community center.  The community center will provide HOPE and PURPOSE for the local people, by serving as a safe venue for meeting, learning and sharing Christ-centered activities.

Our beliefs:
Bible-God's word is our sole authority for life, Jesus is our salvation for eternal life
Risk-God's greatest moments happen on the other side of risk
Serving-We serve in groups, which are joyful and contagious to nearby onlookers
Evangelism-We share the truth of Jesus, without shame, when the opportunity arises
Donations-We consult with local Pastors for their discernment before distribution
Church-A believer has a specific church they call home, because we recognize the importance of accountability.

Books recommended by the Leadership of the Ministry:
Bible-NIV (Inspired by God)
The Twelve Steps-A Spiritual Journey (RPI Publishing, Inc.)
Man in the Mirror-Patrick Morley
Purpose Driven Life-Rick Warren
When Helping Hurts-Steve Corbett & Brian Fikkert
Not a Fan-Kyle Idleman
The PURPLE Book-Rice Broocks, Steve Murrell
Francis Chan-Videos

WARNING:  Trip participants may find their "lives permanently changed" after returning home

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45 NIV

When you look at YOU, you see what YOU have done.  When God looks at YOU, he sees what HE has done.  We are the hands and feet of God!

Who participates in Weekend Missions?

ANYONE with a heart to serve others.  Typically, we have a balanced mix of young people, busy professionals, families, and retirees who seek a short term mission experience.  We are simply looking for people willing to lend their unique gifts for one weekend.  If you have never been on a mission trip to a foreign country, this is the perfect trip for you!

It is leaving daily life behind, and concentrating on letting God direct your time and thoughts as you help those most in need. No hard and fast deadlines, or designated schedules to observe ... just service to those who have less than you do.
The Weekend Missions Experience --Mark Lastovica, Co-Founder of Weekend Missions.

Trips last about three days (Friday AM through Sunday late afternoon), but the experience could very well change your life!

Weekend Missions is currently involved in dozens of projects in Puerto Penasco, also know as Rocky Point, a favorite vacation spot for people in Arizona and surrounding States.

Many Weekend Mission volunteers are not trained in a specific trade; although we welcome specialists in plumbing, electrical, or carpentry. Those without specific skills will be trained on the job with a project manager, or someone specializing in a necessary trade.

Sometimes a Weekend Missions project is as simple as painting a wall or a fence!

The volunteer below is digging a trench for a new water line at the home of the director of the Rocky Point Womens Shelter.  Imagine living in a home with little running water! Later, Weekend Missions hopes to complete a bathroom at this home.

Across town, another volunteer helps to complete a new room at the home of a needy resident.

Many of the citizens live in poverty, and most exist in hovels they call home, often put together with leftover building materials. Indoor plumbing is a luxury for most homes, and electricity is often spotty or non-existent. Air conditioning is rare, and many homes lack a refrigerator. Very few have washers and dryers.

Lodging accommodations for Weekend Mission volunteers is at the WM Villa Granada.  While Weekend Missions cannot guarantee a specific accommodation for any given volunteer, consideration is given for those with special needs.

Those who drive a vehicle into Mexico are required to purchase Mexican Auto Insurance (it is the law in Mexico just like here in the United States). Even if American insurance covers travel into Mexico, it is wise to purchase a Mexican Insurance policy.
