Orientation Meetings are about 20 minutes in length. Cost for most trips is $79 for adults, and even $37.50 for children. Each trip is 2 days and 2 nights (Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon), each trip leaves from Mountain Park Community Church at 10:00 AM on Friday.

ROCKY POINT PROJECTS 2008-2009
- Continue Support and develop the Women’s Shelter.
- Finish Home for Director of Women and Mens Shelters.
- Children’s clinic — securing or building a facility that serves children.
- School building repairs, fence repair, and provision of student materials.
- Equipment for Physical Therapy Clinic.
- Physical Therapy Clinic remodel.
- Neighborhood clean up, 9 churches are interested in participating in this model project.
- Interact and fellowship with our Mexican Brothers and Sisters
- Re-forestation ministry. City will donate trees to families that clean-up their yards.
- Volunteers to visit the sick and the handicapped
- Public bus transportation. Private buses do not serve residents in outlying areas, leading to isolation of families
and individuals.
- Public Parks — paint, repair, and planting new trees
- Build a Meeting room for D.I.F (Department for Infants and Families).
- Medicine for children and those who cannot afford prescription and over-the-counter medicine.
- Center for seniors
- Medical doctors services — general medicine, pediatrics, prostate, gynecology, surgeon, dentistry, etc.
- Donation of medical offices for volunteers to use for clinics when visiting.
- Instructors and trainers for Physical Therapy clinic.
- Roll-off garbage containers for residents to deposit garbage bags.
- English teaching to Mexicans
- Spanish teaching to Americans.
- Evangelizing Americans and Mexicans as brothers and sisters to promote spiritual unity.
- Bilingual coordinator to coordinate volunteers, projects, and donations; to be hired by D.I.F
- Every volunteer should recruit a bilingual buddy to share the mission experience with. Two-way
communication with our Mexican brothers and sisters enhances the mission experience for both cultures.

How do I participate in a Weekend Missions, Inc. Trip?
|
|
|
|
Here are the quick and simple instructions. To be a Weekend Missions volunteer, you must first register to participate (Step One). We are required to have this information on hand before any trip can begin, but you only need to register ONCE. After you have registered, simply “Sign Up & Pay” for an upcoming trip (Step Two).

Weekend Missions Has Made It Simple: Only Two Easy Steps to Become a Weekend Missionary!

Deadline for payment is Sunday July 6th, which is 1 week away. Failure to pay by the deadline will result in a $25 surcharge, if space is available. We are going to hold the number of participants to a maximum of 50. We anticipate having at least 50 people on this trip. First, be sure you have registered as a volunteer (this is required, click the button above)
We would prefer that you mail in a check versus paying on-line. Here are the details to sign up and pay: Adults: $79.00 (not including transportation, price is $49.00) Child: $37.50 (not including transportation, price is $22.50) Child is 12 & under Mail checks to: Weekend Missions, Inc. P.O. Box 51371 Phoenix, AZ 85076 First persons that pay will have the best chance of sleeping on a bed. If you would like to be more involved, our next organizational meeting is this Sunday evening, June 29th at 6:30 pm. Call Margarita for more info at (602) 703-9106. Our next Orientation Meeting is this Sunday, June 29th, after the second service at Mountain Park Community Church. Please feel free to attend to learn more about our trips, and this is a perfect time to bring a friend! Between now and the end of our trip, please pray for the participants that go on the trip.
